February 7th, 2020 | Press Releases
Legend Senior Living® has announced the promotion of Traci Hayden to Regional Director of Operations for Kansas. She has been with the company for five years, but has more than two decades of industry experience.
Hayden’s path to senior care leadership began 20 years ago when she started working in a long-term care facility as the Office Manager. She developed a passion for the industry, which led her to earn an administrator’s license.
The Regional Director’s role is a natural progression of responsibilities for Hayden. As a Residence Director, Hayden has overseen and trained new Residence Directors at various locations. “The goal is to put the new RD’s in a position to implement Legend’s standards, philosophies, and practices,” she said. “Being a leader is not a responsibility I take lightly. I have great pride in my ability to organize a residence and get tasks going in the right direction.”
Hayden will oversee the overall operations for Legend’s Kansas communities, including sales, dining services, clinical services, and life enrichment, along with workforce development. Along with providing the very best in senior care, one of her goals is to ensure that Legend associates are working in a positive environment. She said she believes that if associates are fulfilled and satisfied, then residents and their families will be satisfied as well. The quality of associates and their ongoing training are cornerstones of the company’s success.
“Traci is a seasoned veteran in senior living with years of experience,” said Chris Mahen, Chief Operating Officer. “This gives her a unique understanding of how to operate and manage communities.”
Hayden says that empathy drives her entire life and she finds fulfilment in helping and providing care to others. “My most passionate focus is caring for those with Alzheimer’s disease,” she said. “My father has Alzheimer’s and that diagnosis shifted my perspective on how impactful we can be for others every single day.”
“Traci has led Regent Park in Wichita as the Residence Director for five years,” Mahen said. “Regent Park is known locally has one of the best assisted living and memory care residences in the area because of her leadership. Traci has mentored new Residence Directors from not only Kansas but other states in which we operate. She works tirelessly to provide the best services and environments for both residents and associates.”
Hayden expressed her feelings about the importance of her philosophy and Legend’s aligning. “Legend Senior Living’s vision and philosophy is foolproof and inspiring,” she said. “We have a commitment to provide the highest standards for service, environment, and care. From day one, I felt like I was a part of the team, with an abundance of support and learning opportunities.”
“I believe in our founder’s vision to provide the best for our seniors and feel fortunate to be in a position where I have such faith in our vision,” Hayden said. “i will bring that same passion and determination to all of our communities.”
