Legend Senior Living Acquires Prairie House Assisted Living and Memory Care on Ascension St. John Broken Arrow Campus
June 6th, 2023 | Press Releases
Legend Senior Living announced the purchase of Prairie House Assisted Living and Memory Care, located on the Ascension St. John Broken Arrow (OK) campus. Legend will assume all ownership and operation of the residence, with 73 assisted living and 32 memory care apartments. Legend is a Wichita-based, privately owned senior living provider with nearly 50 residences in six states, including independent living, assisted living, and memory care. Prairie House is located at 2450 North Stone Ridge Drive, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.
Prairie House is the company's fourth Tulsa-area residence joining Legend at Tulsa Hills, Legend at Mingo Road, and Green Tree in Sand Springs. With seven in the Oklahoma City area, Legend now has 11 Oklahoma residences.
Prairie House was integrated into the St. John Broken Arrow campus in collaboration with Ascension St. John Hospital. The objective was to give residents access to health and wellness services and proximity to acute care should it be necessary. Legend will maintain this collaboration while bringing its concept of assisted living and advanced memory care therapy to the residence.
"We're excited to have Prairie House as a part of the Legend family," said Matt Buchanan, Legend Senior Vice President, in making the announcement. "Prairie House has been a provider of exceptional service in the Broken Arrow area, with the unique advantage of its St. John collaboration. We look forward to building upon the wonderful partnership with this premiere medical facility. We’re excited to join with the team at Prairie House and look forward to furthering their success together."
Legend residences are recognized as Great Places to Work®, have ranked among the Top 25 Best Senior Living communities in the country by Fortune Magazine, and appear on U.S. News & World Report's Best of Senior Living.
