The Regent Independent Living residence will host its annual Rally at the Regent 2021 Car Show with Wichita radio station KEYN 103.7 on September 10 from 5-8 p.m. at The Regent – 2050 N. Webb Road in Wichita. The event is open to the public and completely free. Cars will be judged in ten different classes by five professional judges. Each class will have awards for first, second and third place, with one overall best in show. Dash plaques will be awarded to the first 130 pre-registered vehicles.
KEYN’s Jack Oliver will conduct a live radio broadcast on location from the Rally, along with live DJ Jeremy Oliver. The Regent will provide rally-goers with a free feast of hamburgers, homemade house chips, brownies, sodas and water at no charge.
“The Rally at the Regent has become a tradition that all the local car enthusiasts look forward to,” said Kylie Jefferis, The Regent’s Life Enrichment Coordinator who puts the event together. “Last year was cancelled due to the pandemic; we’re looking forward to holding the event once again! We have quite a few car lovers living at The Regent, so it’s a great event to engage the residents, and locals alike. The Rally has quite a reputation for being a good show. We typically have 100 to 130 entrants.”
Parking is free at Eastminster Church, just south of The Regent with a free shuttle available from the parking to the show. Contact Kylie Jefferis to enter your car, email Kylie@legendseniorliving.com or phone 316-631-3900.
