Two Legend Senior Living associates were honored recently for their outstanding work and contributions to the industry. At the Florida Argentum Senior Living Conference in July, Divisional Vice President of Operations Gwen Thibault took home the Distinguished Service Award. Wendy Dotson, Sales Director at The Windsor of Ocala, was named Sales Director of the Year.
“I was totally taken by surprise,” Thibault said about winning the Distinguished Service Award. The award recognizes leaders in the senior living industry who exhibit confidence, courage and compassion. It is not given annually, but presented only when Florida Argentum identifies a worthy recipient.
“Gwen Thibault has been instrumental in the success of Florida Argentum and has been the Chairman of the Board for the past two years,” said Florida Argentum President and CEO Gail G. Matillo. “We appreciate her service, dedication and loyalty to the organization and to her many colleagues.”
Dotson’s Sales Director of the Year award is the result of her character and integrity, as well as years of going above and beyond to change lives for seniors and their families. She has been involved with the Alzheimer’s Association and various residence organizations.
“It took a minute for it to become real to me and when it did my heart was racing, and at the same time so happy to think that people thought so much of me,” Dotson said. “I was just doing what was always built in me to do: serve and help others with a sincere and genuine heart.”
