Legend Senior Living Names Angeline Hernandez, MHA As Residence Director for Windsor of Venice

VENICE, FL (DECEMBER 14, 2020) – Legend Senior Living® has announced the appointment of Angeline Hernandez, MHA as Residence Director for Windsor of Venice (FL). Legend Senior Living is a Wichita-based company that owns and operates 40 residences in six states, including ten in Florida. Windsor of Venice comprises both an Assisted Living and Memory Care residence, with homelike settings with individualized care.

 

Hernandez comes to Legend from Massachusetts-based Benchmark Senior Living, where she was Executive Director of Operations. She brings more than 13 years of experience in senior living. She has been a Director of Business Administration, responsible for financial stability, the development of census growth strategies, accounting and fiscal management. She has worked one-on-one with patients as a health care counselor, combining knowledge of digital applications with health care management. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

 

“I had worked in senior health for years before completing my health administration degree. So, I already had my focus. I had developed a real passion and I like to think a great deal of skill for working with older adults,” said Hernandez upon the announcement. “When I learned of the Legend mission of service to seniors, I knew that our passion and mission were perfectly aligned.”

 

Hernandez began pursuing a career in health care administration with an associate degree from Northern Essex Community College, where she was a member of the Alpha Beta Gamma Honor Society. She graduated Magna Cum Laude as a Bachelor of Health Care Administration at St. Joseph’s College, where she went on to earn her master’s.

As Residence Director at Windsor, Hernandez oversees the Assisted Living and Memory Care residences, including all programs, staff and activities. Her responsibilities also include oversight of all operational and fiscal obligations of the residence and creating and promoting a positive workplace culture. She will coordinate with Area Directors and Legend management on the development and promotion of amenities and services unique to the Venice area community, with an intense focus on individualized customer service and providing a warm, home-like atmosphere for residents.
