Windsor Pointe of Jacksonville has named Bartholomew Perry as Residence Director. The independent living residence is owned and operated by Legend Senior Living®, with headquarters in Wichita, KS. Opening in November 2021, Windsor Pointe of Jacksonville is Legend's newest residence and its eleventh in Florida. With more than 20 years of management experience, Perry will be responsible for the overall management and operation of Windsor Pointe.

Perry comes to Windsor Pointe from his position as General Manager of all hospitality operations for the US Army's Fort Polk and Fort Benning. His experience as a hospitality expert for the government has taken him to management roles in diverse and far-flung locations, from Hawaii to Puerto Rico and the Southern US. Most of his extensive hospitality management experience has seen Perry in charge of Food and Beverage operations with hundreds of employees, over multiple managers, serving thousands of meals a day.

"We're very pleased to have someone of Bartholomew's unique and broad experience lead our newest Vibrant Independent Living concept at Windsor Pointe," said Debi Thomas, Legend Senior Living VP of Business Development. "Windsor Pointe is a capstone residence on a long history of Legend excellence in Independent Living. This position requires the best of the best in a resident- and family-oriented business, and we're excited to have Bartholomew at the helm. His experience with large, complex operations will be integral. "

Perry will manage all operational aspects of the residence.

"My career over the last decade has included contributing to the happiness and well-being of the men and women who serve our country. I will always be influenced by the principles of the American military tradition that says, 'Every job is a job worth doing right,'" said Perry. The new Windsor Pointe Residence Director attended college in Tampa, has lived in Key West and Sarasota, and has many family members in Jacksonville.

"Working here at Windsor Pointe is a natural fit," he said. "Florida in general and Jacksonville, in particular, have so much to offer seniors looking for vibrant living. Windsor Pointe, and the Legend organization in general, represent the best that Senior Living has to offer. I'm so impressed with the focus on the residents. The bar is set quite high in innovation, the quality of the activities and dining, and our compassionate professionalism. I'm proud to be here and to be a servant leader for the Legend Mission of Service."
