The Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) has announced the two winners of the ALFA Senior Living Art Showcase, an art competition celebrating the arts in senior living communities. Receiving 572 likes on Facebook, Betty Finstad's Southwestern Serenity was declared the fan favorite winner, and Robert Wilson's, Legend at Rivendell resident, Adorable Child Exploring the Beach was chosen as the ALFA Senior Living Art Showcase Grand Prize winner by a distinguished panel of judges.

"It was an honor to host such a distinguished group of art experts," said ALFA President & CEO Richard P. Grimes. "The fact that such an impressive group of individuals took part in the judging is a testament to the talent senior living residents possess and continue to demonstrate in the life-enriching environments present in senior living communities across the country."
ALFA will sponsor painting events for Robert Wilson's and Betty Finstad's senior living communities to celebrate their achievements and the community spirit of senior living. Both winners, as well as the 29 other finalists, will be showcased at COMMUNITY 2012, the ALFA Conference and Expo.
